Working in hazardous environments is an everyday reality for many industries. Workers often face risks such as falls, cuts, or burns that may lead to injuries or fatalities. However, not all hazards are visible, and some may be hidden in confined spaces. These spaces can include tanks, vessels, silos, storage bins, hoppers, vaults, and pits. To address these safety concerns, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has developed regulations to protect workers in confined spaces. OSHA defines confined spaces as areas that meet specific criteria, including limited means for entry or exit, not designed for continuous occupancy, and large enough for a person to enter and perform work.
